UG course in Siddha (BSMS) has been started in NIS from the current academic year 2022-2023. Necessary regulatory approvals were granted from State goverent, MoA, NCISM and University affiliation. About 22 candidates have joined the course in this institute through AYUSH counseling which includes 2 students from outside Tamilnadu. Prof. Dr. R. Meenakumari, Director, National institute of Siddha has handed over the provisional allocation orders to the selected candidates.
