✨As a Pre-Siddha Day celebration, Siddha Regional Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram has conducted a Pre-Siddha Day seminar today 26-12-2023 (Tuesday) on the theme of 7th Siddha Day 2023 “Ancient Wisdom and Modern Solutions.” ✨Dr. Sajith Babu IAS, State Mission Director, National AYUSH Mission, Thiruvananthapuram has inaugurated the event along with Dr. P. Hariharan, Vice Principal, Santhigiri Siddha Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram.✨Dr. S. Selvarajan, Research Officer (Siddha)/Sci-IV, CCRS, Chennai and Dr. A. Rajendra Kumar, Research Officer (Siddha)/Sci-III, CCRS, Chennai have also given their special address via online. ✨The first session was on "Characterisation of Thadhu samples from Siddha medicine" handled by Sh.Rajeev, Head (Rtd), Analytical and Spectroscopy Division, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram. ✨The second topic was “Nanotechnology: Advancements in Herbal Drug Delivery and Safety Perspectives” dealt with by Dr. Remya N S, Scientist ‘D’, Division of Toxicology, SCTIMST, Thiruvananthapuram. ✨The third invited speaker is Dr. R.B. Sreekala, Professor & Head, ORI & MSs Library, University of Kerala, Kariavattom Campus, Thiruvananthapuram discussed the topic of “ Palm leaf Manuscripts and its importance in the retrieval of old life traditions”. ✨Sh. R.S. Praveen Raj, Senior Principal Scientist, NIIST, Thiruvananthapuram has led a session on “Legal framework for protection of Traditional Medicine Practices.” ✨The event was completed with the announcement of prizes for e-poster competition for UG, PG and Doctors category.
