Pre-vedic Traditional Siddha Medicine (TSM) classified diseases into 4448 and described individual clinical features along with specific medicines/therapies. We can't see such visionary disease classification in any other Traditional Medicines. Cancer disease is mentioned as “putru noi” in Siddha. Putru means terminate mount. It grows again after destruction and forms new mounts nearby areas through underground tunnel. Siddha talks specific cancers in specific organs. Among all the traditional medicines, only TSM has documented various types of cancers and their treatment.
