VARMAM AND PRANA FLOW IN SIDDHA SYSTEM OF MEDICINE
Varmam is a salient branch of Siddha system of medicine that works through regulation of life force (Pranan).

The flow of pranan inside the channels is maintained uniformly. Any variation in this flow may account to manifestation of a disease/derangement which is aptly coined as Varma Eedu /Varma Kaayam/ Varma Injury.
If these varma points are manipulated tactfully, it may restore equilibrium in the flow of pranan. Such retrieval points are called Varma Adangal/Illakumurai.
Henceforth, with the therapeutic intervention of Varmam, various ailments can be cured by restoring/regulating flow of pranan.
