One such recipe, from the Siddha text Pararajasekaram, includes:
A paste made by grinding 25g Coriander, 2.5g Cumin seeds, 5g Pepper, Turmeric and Coconut. This paste is mixed with fried young brinjal and drumstick in Gingiley oil, salt, onions and garlic.
Another such remedy involves grinding 12.5g Cumin seeds, dry ginger and turmeric with gingiley oil then rolled into small balls to be consumed with jaggery for 3-7 days during menstruation, postpartum and lactation.
